Episode 47 – Proof… - Psalm 22:3-5

Do you ever wonder whether God is really listening when life gets difficult? What do you do when your feelings tell you that God is distant, silent, or ignoring you?

In Part 2 of our 6-part study through Psalm 22, we dig into verses 3–5 and explore one of the most important attributes of God: His holiness—and the proof of His faithfulness.

David was crying out to God in the middle of intense trouble. He felt abandoned, yet he stopped and remembered the truth: God is holy. His circumstances hadn’t changed God’s character. His feelings didn’t change God’s faithfulness.

David looked backward at the history of God’s people and remembered what God had already done. Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Hagar, Gideon, Hannah, and generations of Israel all provide testimony that God hears, responds, delivers, and fulfills His promises—even when His work isn’t immediately visible.

That gives us an important lesson for our own faith:

When you can’t see what God is doing, remember what God has already done.

Our feelings can change. Our circumstances can change. But God’s holiness, character, promises, and faithfulness do not change.

Psalm 22 points us toward a God who is infinitely above our circumstances while remaining intimately involved with His people. The Bible gives us historical testimony proving that He is worthy of our trust.

If you’re going through a season where God seems distant, this episode is a reminder to stop measuring God’s faithfulness by what you feel—and start measuring it by what His Word says and what He has already done.

🔥 God is holy. God is faithful. And His past faithfulness is proof that He can be trusted with your future.
