Episode 49 – The Unchanging Responses of God – Psalm 22:9-21

What happens when you cry out to God, but it feels like He isn’t answering?

In Part 4 of our six-part study through Psalm 22, we examine one of the most powerful truths about the character of God: He does not change.

David describes overwhelming suffering, enemies closing in, fear, weakness, and what seems like helplessness. Yet even in the middle of it all, David continues to call upon the LORD as his strength and deliverer.

Then we see something even greater.

Psalm 22 points prophetically toward the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus Christ—describing details that would later be fulfilled in His death, including His pierced hands and feet, the mocking of His enemies, His physical suffering, and the casting of lots for His clothing.

But the story doesn't end at the cross.

The Resurrection proves that what looked like defeat was actually victory. What looked like abandonment was never a loss of God's ultimate control. What looked like the enemy winning was actually the fulfillment of God's eternal purpose.

This episode explores what Psalm 22 teaches about God's unchanging power, faithfulness, wisdom, mercy, and ability to answer His people—even when His response doesn't come in the way or timeframe we expect.

If you're in a season where God seems distant, your circumstances seem overwhelming, or you're wondering whether God is still in control, this study is for you.
