How it all started...
A small group of believers devoted to a Christ-centered church and expositional preaching and teaching began meeting in a local elementary school in the fall of 1998.
The commitment remains to promote God's glory, proclaim Christ, prepare believers, and pursue the lost.

Expanding the vision...
In 2001 the Lord graciously allowed us to purchase land just south of Lexington and build our current building. The building was complete in 2002. We continue to use this multipurpose space to the glory of the Lord on Sundays and throughout the week.
The Wellington ministry extends across the globe through our mission partners in Bulgaria, Central Asia, Tanzania, Honduras, Colorado, and Uganda.

Where we are headed...
2 Peter 3:18 says, "But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity." We are striving to do this together as we live to the glory of God by putting into practice our faith.
Our desire is to be obedient to Christ's commission: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." - Matthew 28:19-20
