Episode 44 – The Desire Of Our Hearts – Psalm 21:4-7

What does the Bible actually mean when it says that God will give us the desires of our hearts?

Psalm 21:4–7 takes us deeper into that question, revealing that the “heart’s desire” God fulfills isn’t about getting everything we want for our comfort, ambitions, or personal success. The triumphant king in Psalm 21 desired something far greater: life from God, salvation, reconciliation, and the eternal blessings that only God can provide.

In this episode, we explore what it means to truly trust in the LORD, seek His mercy, and allow our desires to become aligned with His eternal purposes. The king’s blessing wasn’t ultimately found in power, wealth, comfort, or circumstances—it was found in God’s presence, salvation, and eternal life.

And ultimately, Psalm 21 points us toward Jesus Christ—the King of kings—whose own desire was to glorify the Father and accomplish His eternal work of salvation.
