Episode 34: How The Victory REALLY Comes - Psalm 18:37-50

Jul 5, 2026    Brandon Alvillar

What does true victory look like when the battle seems impossible?

In the final episode of this 6-part journey through Psalm 18, we dive into verses 37–50 and uncover a powerful truth: God’s people don’t win by relying on their own strength—they win by surrendering to God, trusting His Word, and allowing Him to fight the battle His way.

David’s victory over Saul reveals that the real battle wasn’t merely physical. Behind the circumstances was a spiritual conflict, and David’s response was not revenge, manipulation, or taking matters into his own hands. He submitted to God, showed mercy, trusted God’s timing, and left vengeance in God’s hands.

This episode challenges us to ask:

👉 Are we chasing victory—or are we chasing God?

👉 Are we fighting in our own strength—or trusting the LORD of Hosts?

👉 Can we surrender our desire for revenge and let God handle the battle?

👉 Do we really believe that “The LORD lives!”?

David’s story reminds us that sometimes the greatest act of spiritual warfare is humility, faith, obedience, mercy, and surrender.
