Episode 38: The Power Of God - Psalm 19:10-14

Jul 5, 2026    Brandon Alvillar

What does the power of God actually look like?

Is it simply the ability to accomplish anything we want—or does Scripture reveal something much greater?

In this fourth and final study through Psalm 19, Pastor b.Side explores what David says about God's power and why the greatest manifestation of it may not be what we expect.

Psalm 19 points us directly to the Word of God as the source of wisdom, correction, strength, purification, and spiritual freedom. God's Word exposes the sins we can't see, teaches us His righteous standards, calls us to repentance, and equips His servants to accomplish the purposes He has given them.

We’ll explore:

📖 Why God's Word is more valuable than gold

🍯 Why Scripture should be sweeter to us than honey

⚔️ How God's Word exposes hidden and presumptuous sin

🕊️ How God empowers His people to turn away from sin

🙌 Why the greatest power isn't simply winning battles—but being transformed into a person who lives for God's purposes

The world often defines power as control, achievement, influence, or strength. Scripture points us somewhere deeper: the power to overcome sin, pursue righteousness, endure suffering, serve God's purposes, and ultimately be transformed by His Word.
