Episode 33: Those Who Love The LORD - Psalm 18:28-36
What does it actually look like to love the LORD according to Scripture?
In Part 5 of our 6-part journey through Psalm 18, we examine verses 28–36 and take a serious—but encouraging—look at the evidence of God’s work in the life of someone who truly loves Him.
David says, “I will love You, O LORD, my strength,” and then describes what that love looks like in practice: humility, dependence, endurance, trust in God’s Word, courage in the face of darkness, spiritual strength, contentment, and a willingness to be shaped by God’s purposes.
This episode asks some important questions:
🙏 Is the Holy Spirit actually producing recognizable fruit in our lives?
📖 Do we genuinely love God’s Word—or only the parts that are convenient?
💡 Can we walk in God’s light even when our circumstances are dark?
🛡️ Are we depending on God as our strength, shield, and foundation?
🔥 Are we willing to endure the process of God’s sanctification?
❤️ Does our life increasingly reflect the character of the God we claim to love?
David’s testimony reminds us that loving the LORD doesn't mean life becomes easy. It means God gives His people the strength, wisdom, endurance, and faith necessary to fulfill His purposes—even in difficult circumstances.
This episode is also a faith check-up. Not to produce fear or self-righteousness, but to encourage us to honestly examine whether the Spirit of God is producing the kind of life Scripture describes.
