Episode 31: Those Who Love God... - Psalm 18:16-24

Jul 5, 2026    Brandon Alvillar

In Part 3 of our six-part journey through Psalm 18, we look at David’s powerful testimony of faith, perseverance, and deliverance. David’s love for the LORD wasn’t based merely on emotion or whether life was going well. Even while being hunted, threatened, and forced into hiding, David continued to hold God’s Word before him.

Psalm 18:16–24 presents a challenging picture of biblical love: those who love God trust His strength, depend on His provision, remain faithful to His Word, and continue to pursue righteousness even when circumstances are painful and difficult.

This episode also explores what David meant by his “righteousness” and “cleanness.” Was David claiming sinless perfection? Or was he describing the righteousness produced through faith and obedience to God's Word?

We’ll dig into these questions and examine what Scripture teaches about loving God when life doesn't go according to plan.
