Episode 8: Are You Fulfilled? - Ecclesiastes 2:1-11

What if everything the world promises will satisfy you… actually leaves you empty?

In this episode of What’s Good?, we explore one of the most sobering passages in Scripture—Ecclesiastes 2:1-11. Solomon, the wisest and wealthiest man who ever lived, pursued pleasure, entertainment, drinking, achievements, possessions, money, music, and fame. He experienced success beyond anything most of us could ever imagine, withholding nothing his heart desired.

Yet after obtaining it all, his conclusion was shocking:

“Indeed all was vanity and grasping for the wind.”

Why? Because fulfillment was never meant to be found in ourselves.

Join us as we examine the lie that happiness and success are the same as purpose, and discover why even our greatest accomplishments can never satisfy the deepest needs of the soul. Through Solomon’s testimony and a personal story from years spent pursuing success in music, we uncover the pattern that Scripture reveals: the more we live for ourselves, the more elusive fulfillment becomes.

But there is good news.

God did not create us to worship ourselves or spend our lives chasing temporary pleasures. He created us to know Him, love Him, and find lasting joy through a relationship with Jesus Christ. As Jesus said, if we want true life, we must deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him.

If you've ever wondered why success, pleasure, and personal dreams still leave you wanting more, this episode will challenge the world's definition of fulfillment and point you to the One who truly satisfies.

Because what's truly good isn't found in getting everything we want—it's found in following the One who created us.
