Episode 16 - Where To Find REAL Comfort - Ecclesiastes 4:1-3
What if the comfort you’re looking for… doesn’t exist where you’ve been looking?
Power can’t comfort your soul.
Money can’t comfort your soul.
A relationship can’t comfort your soul.
Good circumstances can’t comfort your soul.
And sometimes, even the people who love you most don’t know how to reach the pain you’re carrying.
That’s the uncomfortable truth Solomon confronts in Ecclesiastes 4:1–3.
He looked at the oppressed.
He looked at the oppressors.
He looked at suffering, betrayal, loss, injustice, and the crushing realities of life under the sun.
And he saw the same problem:
“They have no comforter.”
But Solomon’s dark conclusion isn’t the end of the story.
Jesus promised that we would not be left alone.
“I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever.” — John 14:16
The Helper is the Holy Spirit—the Comforter who testifies to the truth of Jesus and reaches places in our souls that no human being can reach.
🔥 That’s where real comfort is found.
Not in escaping every hardship.
Not in good vibes.
Not in possessions.
Not in substances.
Not in social-media sympathy.
Real comfort comes from knowing Jesus Christ and trusting the Spirit He has sent.
Life may still hurt.
Trouble may still come.
But through Christ, suffering doesn’t have to be meaningless.
There is hope.
There is purpose.
There is peace.
There is a Comforter.
And THAT’S WHAT’S GOOD.
