Episode 10 - They're Gonna Take Your Stuff - Ecclesiastes 2:18-23
You can't take it with you... But have you ever stopped to think about who will?
In this episode of What's Good?, we unpack one of the most sobering passages in Ecclesiastes. Solomon wrestles with a frustrating reality: after a lifetime of hard work, wisdom, and sacrifice, everything he built would eventually belong to someone else—and there was no guarantee they would value it, protect it, or continue it.
If that's true, then what's the point of working so hard?
Rather than leaving us in despair, Solomon's struggle points us toward a greater truth that Jesus later makes crystal clear: don't build your life around what won't last. Build it around God's eternal kingdom.
When your purpose is rooted in Christ instead of your possessions, death doesn't get the final word—and neither does the next generation.
