Episode 9: Justly Rewarded - Psalm 7:10-17

In this final part of our Psalm 7 study on Refuge & Strength, previously referred to as Getting To Know God, we examine what it means to be “Justly Rewarded” by the righteous Judge of all creation. David’s words reveal the balance of God’s character as both Savior and Deliverer for those who trust Him, and as the perfectly just Judge who will not allow wickedness to go unanswered.

Through Psalm 7:10-17, we’ll look at how God serves as a shield for His people, why His judgments are rooted in righteousness and mercy, and how the wicked ultimately bring destruction upon themselves when they refuse to repent. David’s response to persecution teaches us how to trust God’s justice without giving ourselves over to bitterness, revenge, or fear.

No matter how difficult life gets, Psalm 7 reminds us that God is still sovereign, still righteous, still merciful, and still faithful to preserve those who trust in Him. When we understand who God truly is, we can respond to trials the same way David did — with worship, confidence, and hope.
