Workbook: Getting To Know God - Elohim

Jun 1, 2026

Discover who God really is by what He says about Himself in His Word.

The Bible reveals that God’s name is the name above all names, and that He is called “Elohim.” What does that mean exactly? What does that tell us about who God is?

This workbook examines twelve passages of scripture to help answer those questions, highlighting the following attributes of God:

He is triune

He is supremely majestic

He is incomprehensible

He is LOVE

Each section presents a passage of scripture and a brief explanation of how the verse(s) describe these facets of God’s identity, nature, character, purposes, and promises. These sections also include supporting scripture references that show how the Bible develops these themes throughout, and they pose questions that are well-suited for self-reflection and small-group discussions among your families, teaching how these principles of God are ultimately seen and fulfilled through Jesus Christ. Below is the table of contents and foundational scriptures for each section:

Lesson 2: God’s Intentions Are Good – Genesis 50:20

Lesson 3: It Works By The Spirit of God – Exodus 31:3

Lesson 5: One Connection – Isaiah 54:5

Lesson 6: The Ultimate Stain Remover – Joel 2:26
