19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Tomorrow morning we will gather as a local body of believers to worship corporately and encourage one another as we recount, remember, and rejoice in our Savior Jesus Christ. I ask that you pray for our time together in worship that the Lord may convict, encourage, and admonish his children through the teaching and preaching of the His word; that we may build one another up in love and good deeds; that God would evaluate our worship and find it to be genuine--as we come by the blood of Christ approaching our holy God; that there would be on outworking of the word that is preached to go and make disciples in this community; that Wellington would be a place for there is a culture of discipleship--families growing in their knowledge of God, bearing fruit in every good work, and striving to please the Father in every way through the enabling power of the Spirit; Pray that we are a church on mission; pray that salvation would come to Lexington, Nicholasville and the surrounding counties; Pray for Pastor Holcomb to rightly handle God's word and be a conduit as we hear from our Lord.
One last encouragement as we anticipate our time together... Put in place some disciplines (even on Saturday night) to prepare for worship. Spend time in prayer, lay out the clothes, plan breakfast, sing as a family on the way to church, arrive early, and focus on serving one another.
Please know I am praying for you and your family tonight and long to worship alongside you in the morning.
