Wellington Church

Local Outreach

Wellington Church exists because of the work of God’s marvelous grace in each of our hearts; therefore, we seek to fulfill the purpose for our calling by faithfully pursuing all He has commanded. This is our motivation for taking seriously the commission of Christ to:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all things I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matt. 28:19-20

Foster Parents' Night Out

We have come alongside Foster Parents in our community to offer them a night of rest while the body of Wellington serves them and pours into the children that they care for. This ministry's main focus is following the commands of James 1:27 as well as proclaiming the gospel to the families and children of our local community. Learn More

Assurance (Baby Bottle Blessings)

This past spring we joined together to support the Assurance ministry and to date have given $1,400.
Through the first 6 months of the year assurance has provided 305 medical grade pregnancy test and 165 ultrasounds. They have prayed with all of the crisis pregnancy clients and have engaged in 289 spiritual discussions. There were a projected    69 lives saved from abortion.
We hope you will join with us in celebration of the results from your Baby Bottle Blessings campaign and the campaign as a whole that so far totals $113,000 toward the goal of $115,000.

Jessamine County Food Pantry

This is a new ministry we are coming alongside in hopes of developing relationships and having opportunities to share the gospel in our community. There are volunteer opportunities at the food pantry if you are interested in serving. Just let us know.

Main Street Baptist Church

We have come along side this church in downtown Lexington to participate in compassion ministry to meet the needs of those in our community both physically and spiritually. We assist Main Street by serving in the food ministry on a couple of Tuesdays each month as well as by donating items for the pantry and clothing ministries. This is an ongoing ministry and you can become involved at any time. If you would like more information please contact Kevin Cooper.

Wellington is working with athletes at local schools. Jason Price is our contact. If you would like to know more about the possibilities of serving and ministering to these kids please let us know at the connect table.

Outreach to Peace Officers

One of our members in Law Enforcement has recently organized a ministry to serve and minister by taking the gospel to those in different branches of law enforcement. If you know someone who would benefit from this ministry or would like to be involved just let us know. One of our deacons, Tim Stec, is our contact.

The Christmas Store

Each year during November and December Wellington Church ministers to families of Harrison Elementary School through providing gifts which include basic physical needs as well as toys for kids.
